An Ag. Graduate who worked initially in Agribusiness (Monsanto and Masstock) before moving to the energy sector (Bord na Mona and Airtricity) following the completion of an MBA.

An experienced and successful builder of businesses and brands, establishing and developing the Firelog and Firepak businesses in Bord na Mona before building the electricity Supply business from start up in Airtricity.

Since the sale of Airtricity Dave has invested in a range of energy, property and biotechnology entities and is an active member of the Irrus angel investor syndicate. More recently, he co – founded Blackberry Hearing the rapidly growing supplier of cutting-edge hearing solutions in the Irish market where he remains as an executive director.

He plays golf (badly) and poker (slightly better) and enjoys family life and gardening. He has a keen interest in history and archaeology having completed a BA and MA in Classics and Archaeology in his 50s.
